At ninety nine another excellent British writer.

 99                           ALBERT HAMMOND

Born on 18th May 1942 in London, England.   Albert Hammond was raised in Gibraltar after his family moved back there after the 2nd world war, where he became a choirboy, his first steps into music. Although he has released material as a solo artist, it is as a songwriter that he has found his niche; from the late 60's through to the late 80's he was consistently successful on both sides of the pond. His son Albert Hammond Jnr is the guitarist with The Strokes.
