92 VINCE CLARKE
Born on 3rd July 1960 in South Woodford, Essex, England. Vince Clarke first came to prominence with the then new wave outfit Depeche Mode, although he was a founder and the main songwriter of the group he was to leave after just one album to form the critically acclaimed Yazoo with Alison Moyet. This project was also short lived lasting just two albums, and then came the one off venture The Assembly with Feargal Sharkey, until he found his place in 1988 with Andy Bell in Erasure, who are still together today. Vince Clarke was a founder and is still a mainstay of synth pop and electronica.
