Born 24th July 1935 in Woking, Surrey, England. Beginning his career as a pianist in the John Barry Seven, Les Reed went onto become a mainstay of British song writing in the 60's, most famed for his work with Tom Jones, he also been a prolific arranger, conductor and worked on many film scores. He has in later years turned his hand to writing stage musicals and in 1998 he received an OBE from the queen, this will sit nicely next to his ten Ivor Novello awards for song writing.
