At fifty seven another fine songwriter who graduated from the Brill Building.
57 JEFF BARRY
Born 3rd April 1938 in Brooklyn, New York, USA. Along with onetime wife Elie Greenwich, Jeff Barry went onto write some of the world's greatest pop songs. They were known primarily for their work with the great girl bands of the 60's, 'The Shangri-las being the leading exponents especially with the 'Leader of the Pack', being probably their greatest song. After the marriage broke up so did the writing partnership and Barry went into more into production work but he couldn't replicate his songwriting success.
