Born 10th of April 1959 in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. Known as 'Babyface', he earned this nickname whilst playing in 'Bootsy Collins' backing band. During the 90's Babyface dominated charts on both sides of the Atlantic with his writing and production work, somehow he found the time to create his own record label, LaFace records with his long standing musical partner L.A. Reid, release some solo material and create a film company with his wife. In fact its films and their soundtracks that now take up most of his time, and needless to say he's very good at it, although he still turns his hand to some R & B production.
