Born Giorgios Kyriacos Panayiotou on 25th June 1963 in East Finchley, London, England. He first made his name in 80’s pop sensation’s Wham, where he was the lead singer and song writer, his main partner in the group was Andrew Ridgeley, who was a childhood friend and no more than a pretty face, who helped him get over his chronic shyness. In the mid 80’s he went solo and to stunning success on both sides of The Atlantic, a slow worker, which makes each new release eagerly anticipated by expectant fans. He has in later years become more controversial in his work and in his social life, making him a target for the tabloid press.
