A true giant and genius of popular music.
34 DAVID BOWIE
Born David Jones 8th January 1947 in Brixton, London, England. A true musical Chameleon who at the height of his powers during the 70’s was constantly changing personas and musical direction and this revealed a true musical genius. Critics have often been split on whether he was an innovator of style or a copier, but whatever the truth his influence is widely felt in many fields of music. He seems to have lost his way, at least commercially from the mid 80’s, but such was the strength of his 70’s output his reputation remains undiminished.
