Born 19th September 1952 in New York City, USA. Nile Rodgers and Bernie Edwards work should be recognisable to most, because they wrote and produced many of the disco era’s best remembered classics and due to this they’ve become the most sampled writers by the hip hop and dance fraternity. Rodgers played rhythm guitar and Edwards played bass, giving all their songs a distinctive groove, to add to this he’s also a much sought after producer having worked on many of the 80’s best selling albums.
