At thirty one of the late sixties and early seventies top writers.
31 ROGER GREENAWAY
Born 23rd August 1942 in Southmead, Bristol, England. Along with long time collaborator Roger Cook his songs were regular visitors to the charts throughout the 60's and 70's. Always irresistibly catchy, and unashamedly commercial, they often wrote for bands that were merely fronts for the two writers. As the 70's brought in punk and new wave Greenaway's music seemed old fashioned and the hits dried up, but he kept himself busy holding a variety of post's at royalty collection agencies.
